Chubs is a lovable, laid-back girl with a heart full of sweetness. She’s a fluffy ball of fun who enjoys the simple things in life – lounging in a comfy spot, getting plenty of pets, and snuggling up next to you. While she’s not one for high-energy activities, she’s perfectly content with light walks and playing with chew toys. She’ll happily engage in short games of fetch, but she’s more of a “chill and relax” kind of dog when it comes to playtime.
Chubs isn’t very vocal, but when she’s excited or feeling playful, she’ll throw in a couple of “woos.” She doesn’t jump but she is a digger, so be mindful of that if you have a garden or outdoor space. She’s friendly with children, though she can get a bit excited and often rolls onto her back for belly rubs when they pet her. She’s curious about cats but hasn’t had direct interactions with them yet.
When it comes to grooming, Chubs isn’t a huge fan of being combed, but she’ll tolerate it for a little while if you take it slow and give her plenty of love. She’s also not fond of having her paws shaved (it tickles!), but with some patience, you can get the job done. Bath time, on the other hand, is a breeze for Chubs – she loves a nice lukewarm bath and will happily lie down while being pampered.
Chubs is crate trained and while she does okay in car rides, she gets a little anxious and needs her space. Like many dogs, she has a sensitive stomach, so it’s important to introduce new foods slowly and carefully.
Chubs would love to find her forever home with her sister, Hazelton. These two are a wonderful pair, and they’d thrive best together.
